What if I feel discomfort while wearing the cups?
If you
notice some discomfort while wearing the Talisi menstrual cups, it may be due
to one of several reasons.
- It could be that you are only
using it for the first few times and your body is yet to get used to it. If
this is the case, give your body some time. It will get used to our cups.
- The stem of the cup could be
poking the walls of your vagina or your pelvic floor muscles. If this is the
case, take out the cup and give the stem a trim.
- You could have accidentally
scratched your vagina while trying to inspect it, insert the cup or remove it.
- Your cup might be placed too low
or high. If this is the case, remove the cup and reinsert it, ensuring it is
placed below your cervix. You can locate your cervix by running your clean
fingers upwards and backwards until you notice an area that feels slightly
firmer than the walls of your vagina (its consistency is similar to that of the
top of a nose).
- It is possible that your cup is
not the right size for you. Wearing a cup that is too small or too big for you
predisposes your cup to puckering and having folds. These folds might be the
cause of the uncomfortable feeling you are experiencing. If this is the case,
see the size guide below to know how to pick the right cup for you and contact
us to arrange a cup change.
If inserted
the right way, Talisi menstrual cups should not cause any discomfort. Talisi
menstrual cups are just the right consistency hence when they come in contact
with the walls of your vagina, cervix or pelvic floor, you should not
experience any discomfort. Some clients attest to not feeling anything while
wearing the Talisi menstrual cups.
