Can I pee, make poop or have sex while wearing a menstrual cup?
Yes, you
sure can. When a properly fitted cup is worn, it almost feels like you aren’t
wearing anything. It is also important to note that there are three openings in
your pelvic floor.
The first
is your urethral opening, through which urine flows out. This opening is very
small and is almost invisible hence it can be easily missed.
The second
opening is your vaginal opening, through which your cup is inserted.
The third
opening is your anal opening through which you make your bowel movement.

This means
that urine, menstrual blood and feces come out from three different but closely
located openings. Hence, wearing a cup should not interfere with other
activities.
The only
activity that can directly be inhibited by cups is penetrative sexual
intercourse. However, some couples attest to having sex even while using the
Talisi menstrual cup, though only very shallow thrusts are made during this
type of sex. The cup is also emptied and replaced right before and after sex.
Penetrative sex is very possible when the height of the cervix is higher up and
the stem of the cup is very short.
Back to
urine!
Some may
find out that when they have cups on, their urine tends to come out in trickles
rather than flow out smoothly and with a gush or force. The reason behind this
is that occasionally, when cups are placed high up in the vaginal canal, they
may slightly compress the outflow tract of urine, making the flow a little bit
sluggish. This can be remedied by adjusting the position of your cup (making it
lower or higher) to allow urine to flow out freely.
Some may have noticed that their cup keeps sliding downwards when they try to make a bowel movement. If this happens, simply adjust your cup and ensure the suction seal is firm and complete.
